I Want to Believe is the second feature film based on the TV series The X-Files. The premise of the film is not yet publicly known, but many of those involved, including Carter, Duchovny, and 20th Century Fox, have spoken of the film as one that would stand alone and be apart from the mythology of the TV series. The film is currently scheduled to be released on July 25, 2008.
